I have a real fear of heights, but when I stood on this edge, the view simply took my breath away. Before me opened an endless ocean and the peaceful green Meadows. To feel safe, the first thing I built was this sturdy wooden fence. Now I can stand here for hours and just look into the distance.
I am located southeast of our initial starting point in the world (the spawn). Right behind me is a very small Mountain biome. Here, I found an abandoned, ruined house. I gathered wooden logs - you can see them stacked next to me - and completely restored it. It was very calming to bring life back to this place.
Despite the beauty, however, this will not be my main base. To survive easily in Valheim, your main camp needs to be close to many resources and the borders of several different zones (biomes). Resources are scarce here but for my first few days in this world - this small, restored home high above the Meadows is absolutely perfect.
